Chateau Rousselle We ship our wines direct from our property in Saint-Ciers-de-Canesse, Bordeaux.

In terms of terroir, the Château Rousselle vineyard is a Côtes de Bourg Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC).

It is made up of 20.5 hectares in AOC Côtes de Bourg (including 18 hectares in one piece).

These plots extend over three communes: Saint Ciers-de-Canesse, Villeneuve and Saint Seurin de Bourg.

Exposure: north, on the gentle slopes of the hillsides, at a height of 30 to 60 meters above sea level. The northern exposure of these hillsides produces tannic wines.

Soil: Asteriated limestone covered on the surface with brown clay. On the map: Calcosols on sandstone limestone and clayey calcosols on asteriated limestone.

Climate: oceanic, mild and humid.

A wine that finds a perfect balance between fruit and wood tannins. The aromas of red and black fruits (raspberry, blueberry, cherry) are enriched with the liquorice tones of Merlot, to which are added spicy notes of wild dried herbs (thyme, rosemary) and mineral notes of the terroir. Supple and creamy on the palate, it is a wine with exceptional concentration, fruity, round, fat, with a remarkably long finish. It can age 10 years or more depending on the vintage.
Chateau Rousselle Château Haut Vigneau AOC Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux rouge
This rare and surprising Blaye wine, with a very rich olfactory aroma with aromas of ripe fruits, raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, is to be savored without moderation. It benefits from the mineral notes of the terroir and an olfactory evolution with aromas of fruits in retro-nasal, without excess of wood tannins. On the palate, it is a warm, round, very supple and fat wine. The finish is long and silky. It has a good aptitude for aging.

Trio Rosé is the new rosé wine at Château Rousselle blowing a wind of modernity! Its color is purple or vine peach. The fruity aromas harmonize with the floral notes to give you a pleasant, gourmet and easy-to-drink wine! Not too dry and it will please everyone. The alcohol content remains moderate. It will be an ideal companion to accompany your aperitifs, tapas, fish and salads.
