Gitton Père & Fils We ship our wines direct from our property in Ménétréol-sous-Sancerre, Centre-Loire.

The history of the Gitton vineyard begins in 1945 with Marcel and Huguette Gitton from half a hectare of vines, making it possible to meet the needs of the family bistro along the Canal Latéral à la Loire.

The Gitton company as such, created by their son Pascal, now covers 33 hectares which he manages with his Australian wife Denise, and their daughter Chanel.

Our Sancerre (27 ha), Pouilly Fumé (5ha) and Côteaux du Giennois (2.5ha) are made from grapes exclusively harvested from our own vines. The vinification is traditional, in spontaneous fermentation and all in plot vinification by terroir since the 1960s.
