Type of soil: Clay and limestone for the most part with a few gravel plots.
Blend of grape varieties: 90% Merlot, 10% Malbec
The 2010 is aged in Oak Barrels
Vinification and aging: Pre-fermentation cold maceration 3-4 days. Turbo-punching for a smooth extraction. Maceration time to be adapted according to the years. Aging in cement and stainless steel vats.
Tasting Notes: The sustained color melts into purplish reflections. The nose dominated by a very intense aroma of fresh blackcurrant is powerful. Same thing on the palate, built around a supple structure, with a delicate balance. The finish is clear on dominant fresh red fruits. A very attractive unconventional style.

Mazion (Blayais-Bourgeais)
We have been living in the town of Mazion since 1988 and have taken over from our parents on the farm since 1997.
In the interests of environmental protection, we have chosen sustainable viticulture in the management of the vineyard and have benefited from the Terra Vitis label since 2006.
